Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy comprehensive automated system integration testing frameworks for multi-component service environments.
- Review and validate OpenAPI/Swagger REST specifications and Avro schemas for Kafka topics during architecture development.
- Partner with Solution Architects to identify and resolve integration discrepancies early in the project lifecycle.
- Integrate LLMs and generative AI tools into testing to synthesize test logic from specifications and Gherkin behavior models.
- Author and execute end-to-end integration scenarios spanning at least three systems across the order-to-report workflow.
- Test asynchronous events, Kafka consumers and producers, webhook handlers, and database state while minimizing fragile UI automation.
- Validate staging build integrity against version synchronization matrices and dependency trees.
- Develop AI agents that scrape and analyze logs in CI/CD pipelines to isolate faults across distributed services.
- Lead cross-functional engineering pods and align architects and product managers around quality goals through technical influence.
- Mentor Senior Software Quality Engineers and Software Engineers in Test across distributed scrum pods.
- Introduce chaos engineering experiments involving network latency, container failures, and boundary conditions.
Requirements
- 12+ years of active software development or test automation engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proven experience deploying automation structures for enterprise-grade distributed systems.
- Expert programming ability in Java, Python, or Go and hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, REST/gRPC endpoints, event-driven systems, Apache Kafka, or AWS SQS/SNS.
- Comprehensive experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a strictly quantitative discipline.
- Prior experience in HealthTech, MedTech, FinTech, or another highly structured, quality-critical engineering environment.
- Understanding of FDA design controls, IEC 62304, or HIPAA standards is highly advantageous.
- Ability to lead through influence, drive architectural consensus, mentor engineers, and validate both technical and clinical or laboratory user outcomes.
