Responsibilities
- Support platform and user operations for Visa Cloud Platform IaaS, PaaS, and container services.
- Resolve platform reliability issues using advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Partner with software and systems engineers to maintain stable and performant services.
- Manage end-to-end availability and performance for mission-critical services.
- Build technical support and automation to prevent or minimize incidents.
- Participate in shift or on-call support within a 24/7/365 operating model.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, another technical discipline, or related practical experience.
- At least 5 years of application or production support experience for high-availability or critical platforms and applications.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows systems and distributed computing environments.
- Experience with DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, load balancing, virtualization, CI/CD or release support, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, Shell, PowerShell, databases, and full application stack management.
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL and NoSQL queries.
- Experience with ITIL disciplines including event, incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong communication skills, urgency, attention to detail, documentation habits, and a proactive approach to fixing issues.
