Responsibilities
- Support software design, development, integration, and testing for spacecraft flight computers and processing units.
- Integrate complex GNC algorithms with flight software.
- Define and maintain the Command Telemetry Database for ground and on-orbit testing and missions.
- Collaborate with the ground C2 software team.
- Support command scripting and spacecraft sequencing.
- Design and implement satellite subsystem model simulators in HITL and SITL environments.
- Develop reusable device drivers, hardware interfaces, and communications protocol libraries for flight hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience with low-level firmware architecture, design, and development.
- Experience with low-level device-driver development and safety-critical systems.
- Experience with embedded RTOS such as RTLinux or Azure RTOS.
- Familiarity with Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS422, and RS485 protocols.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Preferred: master's degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of flight software development or production experience for space applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with embedded Linux, UDP, TCP/IP, embedded systems tools, compilers, debuggers, IDEs, microcontrollers, application processors, revision control systems, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.
- Preferred: experience in robotics, automation, motor control, or sensor fusion; U.S. work authorization meeting ITAR requirements is also required.
