Base Salary
$160k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build connectors and ingestion pipelines for enterprise data sources, pricing feeds, news data, and proprietary customer systems.
- Design and operate pipelines that handle scale, failures, and edge cases gracefully.
- Debug issues across APIs, authentication systems, and data formats under customer-facing time pressure.
- Own monitoring, alerting, on-call operations, reliability, and incident response.
- Improve internal tooling and observability to make systems more robust and operable.
- Partner with product and customer teams to scope, prioritize, and ship high-value integrations.
- Design and ship agents on top of the ingestion layer for document analysis and structured query workflows.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience, ideally at a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building backend services and APIs.
- Direct experience building or maintaining third-party API integrations, including OAuth flows, webhooks, rate limiting, and pagination.
- Comfort with AWS and tools such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
- Production operations experience, including on-call and reliability ownership.
- Strong debugging ability across logs, API responses, and queue state to identify root causes.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Autonomous, self-directed working style with strong ownership.
- Experience with Snowflake, SharePoint, or Salesforce integrations is a bonus.
- Familiarity with document processing pipelines or content extraction systems is a bonus.
- Experience building agentic systems or LLM-enabled products is a bonus.
- Frequent use of AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code is a bonus.
