Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, cost-efficient AWS architectures.
- Define best practices for AWS compute, storage, networking, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, automated provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Improve observability and operational efficiency through logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Lead performance tuning and capacity planning for critical workloads.
- Embed AWS security best practices and implement zero-trust and least-privilege access controls.
- Partner with security, application, product, and engineering teams on compliance and cloud-native solutions.
- Influence cloud strategy, tooling, architecture decisions, technical roadmaps, and design reviews.
- Mentor cloud and DevOps engineers while remaining hands-on.
Requirements
- 8+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 5+ years focused on AWS.
- Expertise with AWS services including EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, and Route 53.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and service mesh architectures.
- Deep knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity management.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, and ELK.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
- Ability to work US shift hours while based in India.
- Preferred: experience with AWS Organizations and multi-account strategies, FinOps or cloud cost optimization, and regulated industries such as fintech, telecom, or healthcare.
