Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams to build application experiences.
- Develop reusable software components that interface with back-end platforms.
- Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
- Lead complex technical or product efforts and provide technical guidance to peers.
- Architect efficient and scalable systems for complex applications.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Own components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding.
- Build billing and commerce capabilities including customer hierarchy modeling, subscription lifecycle management, consumption-based billing, tax integrations, payment integrations, and billing event processing.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing scalable enterprise-level back-end solutions.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or another highly technical subject where programming was a key requirement.
- Professional software development experience using modern programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience with architecture, design, development, and deployment of large-scale enterprise systems.
- Understanding of security concepts including OAuth and the ability to build reliable, safe applications.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scale considerations.
- Experience with relational databases, including development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with API-driven designs focused on testable and scalable implementations.
- Experience across multiple technology stacks, including cloud development, platforms, web development, frameworks, or service-oriented architecture.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Comfort with AI-assisted code development tools and their role in modern software delivery.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience working globally across multiple time zones and geographies.
- Exposure to Salesforce or a similar large CRM system.
- Familiarity with API-first development and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Experience integrating with multiple third-party products and their APIs and environments.
- Strong software engineering foundations across the entire software delivery lifecycle.
