Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship customer-facing production AI features across Boom’s products.
- Build internal AI tooling, workflows, and automations for engineering, operations, customer success, and sales.
- Own the full agent stack, including prompts, tools, memory, retrieval, orchestration, evaluations, and observability.
- Create offline evaluations, online metrics, and human review queues to improve agents safely without regressions.
- Partner with product leadership and the founders to select and deliver customer-facing and internal AI initiatives.
- Help shape hiring, AI-enabled ways of working, and engineering-team operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of web development experience and at least 1–2 years building production LLM features or agents.
- Hands-on experience with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs and agent patterns such as tool use, structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-step planning.
- Experience building or owning evaluation suites and feedback loops for production AI systems.
- Backend-leaning full-stack experience with Ruby, Python, Grape, Sequel, React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with third-party APIs, OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, idempotency, observability, on-call responsibilities, and real incidents.
- Experience running AI coding agents autonomously; daily Claude Code use is expected.
- Preferred experience with voice AI stacks, vector stores and retrieval pipelines, AWS, and Terraform.
- Strong communication, self-direction, AI adoption skills, and empathy for low-to-moderate-income renters.
