Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software meets design constraints.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, develop visualizations and reporting, and use identified patterns to improve applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Work with distributed systems, cloud technologies, APIs, databases, data ingestion, streaming, messaging, dependency injection, and container technologies.
- Use and critically evaluate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and guide peers on responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and data ingestion frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with data streaming and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and Spark.
- Understanding of dependency injection frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of containers and related tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating and refining generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Cloud certification, practical cloud-native experience, and in-depth financial-services IT knowledge are preferred.
