Base Salary
$220k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Audit and prioritize Sentry’s internal developer systems for API access by AI agents and build the required end-to-end connections.
- Develop agent harness tooling, context systems, feedback loops, automated pre-review checks, and pull-request quality measurement.
- Automate recurring engineering work including security dependency upgrades, minor bug fixes, and routine maintenance.
- Build internal engineering productivity tools such as dashboards, AI-assisted issue triage, CI/CD optimizations, and toil-reduction systems.
- Use data and direct observation to identify engineering friction, recommend solutions to senior leadership, and drive cross-team adoption.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building tools or workflows that improve developer or AI-agent productivity, including developer infrastructure, CI/CD, AI harness tooling, AI-first coding workflows, or relevant public contributions.
- Strong software engineering and systems design fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with and genuine curiosity about AI coding tools and agents; prior machine learning experience is not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior technical leadership.
- Track record of driving cross-team technical initiatives to completion.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed systems or monolith decomposition.
- Preferred: experience with developer experience or engineering productivity programs.
- Preferred: familiarity with code review tooling, static analysis, or automated pull-request pipelines.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $155,000 to $400,000 USD, plus eligibility for up to a 20% bonus.
