Responsibilities
- Develop and commercialize the Qualcomm AI Runtime SDK on Qualcomm SoCs.
- Deploy and optimize large generative AI models, including LLMs and vision models, for on-device inference.
- Build and maintain large C/C++ software stacks using software engineering best practices.
- Optimize algorithms for CPU, GPU, NPU, and other AI hardware accelerators.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test, and globally distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of relevant software development experience; the minimum qualifications also specify 3+ years with a bachelor’s, 2+ with a master’s, or 1+ with a PhD.
- At least 2 years of academic or professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong understanding of generative AI models, including LLMs, LVMs, LMMs, self-attention, cross-attention, and KV caching.
- Knowledge of floating-point and fixed-point representations and quantization.
- Strong C/C++ programming, design patterns, operating systems, scripting, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Preferred qualifications include SIMD architecture, system design, object-oriented development, kernel development, Linux, Windows, llama.cpp, MLX, MLC, PyTorch, TFLite, ONNX Runtime, OpenCL, and CUDA.
