- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support cloud-native applications and microservices using Node.js and REST APIs.
- Build secure, scalable, reliable, serverless, and event-driven solutions using AWS services and AWS IoT capabilities.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of AWS-based applications.
- Apply cloud security practices covering IAM policies, access control, logging, monitoring, and operational controls.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA, and business stakeholders using Agile development practices.
- Promote test-driven development, clean coding, documentation, maintainable architecture, and high-quality delivery.
- Own modules independently and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of overall software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on AWS cloud experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing microservices and designing and developing REST APIs with Node.js.
- Experience with AWS IoT Core and AWS IoT Device Management, including Jobs and Device Shadows.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, AWS IAM, Amazon SNS, Amazon API Gateway, and Amazon CloudWatch.
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for AWS services.
- Understanding of cloud-native architecture, serverless design patterns, scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
- Experience with test-driven development and unit and integration testing.
- Preferred experience with Amazon EKS or Kubernetes, Amazon ECR or other container registries, Amazon Bedrock and generative AI use cases, and infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent ownership skills.
