Responsibilities

  • Operate and support highly available customer-facing applications running on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving performance, availability, scalability, networking, infrastructure, and reliability.
  • Manage Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS, including deployments, services, ingress, secrets, RBAC, autoscaling, and resource configuration.
  • Implement high-availability, scalability, disaster-recovery, and capacity-management solutions using Terraform and AWS services.
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows covering build, testing, security scanning, packaging, publishing, deployment, verification, and notification.
  • Implement deployment workflows and strategies across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments, including rolling, blue/green, and canary deployments.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, logging, dashboards, and observability for applications, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and business-critical metrics.
  • Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, performance troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.
  • Automate operational and deployment tasks using Python, Bash, and reusable infrastructure and deployment components.
  • Support multiple application technologies and build systems, including Java, Maven, Gradle, Python, Docker, microservices, and on-premises virtual-machine builds.
  • Create RHEL OS patches and produce code review, malware scan, and checksum reports.
  • Help development teams adopt standardized CI/CD pipelines and establish DevOps, SRE, and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience with strong hands-on AWS and Kubernetes production experience.
  • Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing applications and handling production incidents, root-cause analysis, performance troubleshooting, and reliability engineering.
  • Strong experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows from scratch.
  • Experience supporting multiple application technologies and build systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, Git, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and Terraform infrastructure as code.
  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and centralized logging.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Ability to create RHEL OS patches, support on-premises builds and deployments, and write Terraform for EKS infrastructure.
  • Preferred experience with healthcare or medical-device applications and regulated or mission-critical environments.
  • Preferred experience with AWS EKS, Karpenter, HPA, RabbitMQ, Amazon MQ, Redis, ElastiCache, PostgreSQL, RDS, DevSecOps, security scanning, GitHub Enterprise, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and establishing SRE practices.

  • For office-based teams, the role requires working in person at least 3 days per week; onsite roles require full-time presence at company facilities.
  • Field roles are generally performed outside the company’s main facilities at customer or supplier locations.
