Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and select among available technologies with peers and stakeholders.
- Review other developers’ code for style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, or storage.
- Experience programming in C++ and Java.
- Experience with SQL and large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience building SQL RDBMS query processing engines, OLTP transaction processing systems, or OLAP analytics systems.
- Preferred: experience in search infrastructure, data analytics, database internals, or machine learning.
- Preferred: experience with high-availability designs and parallel or horizontally scaled database architectures.
- Preferred: understanding of enterprise workloads and a focus on enterprise customer needs.
Benefits
- US base salary is $174000–$252000 annually, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
