Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software components for mission management services.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and team planning.
- Test, debug, and document software functionality.
- Identify and communicate unclear, inconsistent, or technically limited requirements.
- Coordinate with mission planning, ground software, and platform engineers on autonomous constellation operations products.
- Support production stability, live-system troubleshooting, on-call rotations, and ongoing constellation operations.
- Support launch and early operations of new satellites.
- Develop and track requirements, schedules, and technical implementation through on-orbit operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, or another computational field, or equivalent experience.
- At least eight years of relevant software development experience.
- Fluency in Python and strong understanding of Go, with the ability to use other languages when necessary.
- Expertise in software design, maintenance, implementation, data structures, data retrieval and storage, algorithm efficiency, and maintainable scalable code.
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and solving problems or inefficiencies.
- Strong collaboration, organization, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage several concurrent, independent activities.
- U.S. citizenship may be required for some supported programs.
- Preferred: familiarity with orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics, satellite systems, software and hardware performance characteristics, complex-system automation, and geospatial systems or data.
