Responsibilities
- Design, code, enhance, debug, test, and maintain custom and legacy software applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform database integration, performance tuning, and software component optimization in AS/400 environments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, manage team activities, and make decisions for the team and across multiple teams.
- Lead process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate cross-functional communication on project objectives and deliverables.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience with AS/400 COBOL 400 is required.
- Proficiency in AS/400 COBOL 400 is required.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle practices and agile methodologies is required.
- Experience with debugging, testing, maintaining legacy and custom software applications, business analysis, database management, integration techniques, performance tuning, and optimization is required.
- Fifteen years of full-time education is required.
