Base Salary
$320k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own significant parts of our stack end-to-end, from technical architecture through operational work.
- Build data collection pipelines and iterate on prompts, evals, and graders.
- Develop and improve QA frameworks to catch reward hacking and ensure environment quality.
- Build interfaces for fast and painless human data collection.
- Harden execution environments to ensure tasks hold up at training scale.
- Embed with teams and domain experts to design pipelines and support their needs.
- Work with operations, security, and compliance partners to roll out systems and manage vendor relationships.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills and proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Python or TypeScript.
- Experience designing, building, and running backend systems or infrastructure.
- Effective use of AI tools in day-to-day work.
- Willingness to own problems end-to-end, including non-engineering tasks.
- Proactive and open communication skills.
- Comfort with rapid iteration in ambiguous, fast-changing situations.
