Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end manual and automated testing for web-based applications.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable Selenium WebDriver automation scripts using Java.
- Create functional, regression, integration, and API test scenarios.
- Validate REST and SOAP services using Postman and SoapUI.
- Perform database validation using SQL queries, data verification, and backend testing.
- Analyze application logs and troubleshoot issues in Unix/Linux environments.
- Support release pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, test data, and execution reports.
- Participate in defect management, root cause analysis, production validation, and continuous quality improvement.
- Contribute to test strategy, automation framework enhancement, defect prevention, and software quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in software testing, including strong manual testing experience for web-based applications.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver automation using Java.
- Experience developing and maintaining Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Page Object Model automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of software testing life cycle, testing methodologies, and Agile development practices.
- Experience with REST and SOAP API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.
- Strong database testing skills, including complex SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and data validation scripts.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, log analysis, troubleshooting, and command-line operations.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-driven testing practices.
- Preferred experience includes JMeter, cloud-native architectures, Artifactory, security and non-functional testing, GenAI-assisted testing, and relevant financial services or tax reporting domain knowledge.
- Preferred certifications include ISTQB, Selenium Automation, cloud certifications for AWS, Azure, or GCP, and GenAI or AI-related certifications.
