Responsibilities
- Define performance-testing strategy, approaches, success criteria, workload models, and API-level scenarios for Open Banking non-functional requirements.
- Design, build, maintain, and automate load, stress, endurance/soak, and spike test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze response times, resource utilization, thread and connection behavior, queueing, and other performance results to identify bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with SRE/DevOps and platform teams on performance environments, monitoring, dashboards, alerts, tuning, and incident triage.
- Validate cloud-native components and provide performance reports, remediation recommendations, risk communications, and release sign-off evidence.
- Promote performance-engineering best practices across the team.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor Degree of Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering for APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with JMeter and/or Gatling or equivalent performance-testing tools, including scripting, parameterization, correlation, and result analysis.
- Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD, such as with Jenkins, and using Jira, GitHub, and Confluence.
- Good understanding of AWS and cloud-native architectures, including networking, load balancing, auto-scaling, and container platforms.
- Strong monitoring, observability, and performance-diagnostics skills using Splunk, AppDynamics, and CloudWatch.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Python and/or Shell scripting for test automation, environment checks, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, resilience patterns, and high-availability concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; banking-domain knowledge and Open Banking/API familiarity are beneficial.
