Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of application sub-components and scalable, reusable capabilities.
- Develop and support the Loan Portfolio Mitigation Application and its credit risk hedge decision systems.
- Provide technical oversight across the Java microservices application and remain accountable for development activities.
- Mentor and guide a small team of Java developers and help resolve technical, architectural, and process roadblocks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, business users, developers, and quality assurance teams to deliver and test requirements.
- Track delivery progress, communicate updates to stakeholders, and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications.
- Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, and the OpenShift ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases and tuning complex SQL queries.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, caching frameworks, password and secret vaults, logging, and scheduling tools.
- Experience with development-supporting Gen AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Devin, and Cursor, including prompt writing.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, including Sonar, Harness, Tekton, and Git.
- Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing tools such as JUnit and Selenium.
- Preferred experience with Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, Hive, Cloudera, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Angular, React, and Java or Spring certification.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and delivery skills.
- Experience working in Agile teams and proficiency with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
