Responsibilities
- Automate foundational public cloud infrastructure across accounts, networks, and compute.
- Develop microservices and tooling for cloud provisioning, orchestration, onboarding, account creation, and account management.
- Implement development and engineering best practices using CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and policy as code.
- Ensure requirements traceability and compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
- Design and advocate for cloud-native solutions to address undefined system needs.
- Engage application developers across design, deployment, operations, and iterative development.
- Drive client satisfaction through process improvement and automation initiatives aligned with the operations roadmap.
- Communicate requirements and tasks to stakeholders across technology departments and end users.
- Help build engineering organization capabilities and apply advanced engineering concepts and principles.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development or automation experience in the cloud platform engineering domain.
- Strong software development background with expertise in cloud service automation.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Java, Spring Boot, Helm, and Linux; Terraform experience is preferred.
- Strong object-oriented design and programming skills using Java or other object-oriented languages.
- Proven experience applying domain-driven design to complex business applications.
- Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS cloud services, with GCP preferred.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and software development lifecycle tooling and components.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, IAM, security, and related engineering standards and practices.
- Experience working across multiple lines of business in a collaborative corporate environment.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
