Base Salary
$160k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop large-scale software applications primarily using Java and Kotlin.
- Design and implement scalable new solutions and product improvements for NinjaOne’s IT Operations product suite.
- Build high-availability, mission-critical software systems supporting millions of endpoints and servers.
- Implement design patterns, scalable data structures, object-oriented designs, APIs, and REST services.
- Work on client- and server-side development, relational database systems, caching, and asynchronous application designs.
- Commit code and ship products while maintaining high software quality standards.
- Address enterprise-level software challenges involving scalability, datastore bottlenecks, and client-server architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
- Experience designing systems at scale and solving scalability challenges.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design principles, scalable data structures, and object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using frameworks such as Jersey or Spring.
- Experience with relational database design and development.
- Experience with both client-side and server-side development for responsive messaging.
- Expertise with caching systems; Redis experience is a strong advantage.
- Expert knowledge of quality testing practices.
- Strong Kotlin expertise is preferred, and Python experience is a bonus.
