Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using NestJS and TypeScript.
- Design reusable component libraries and modules for backend applications.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, system design, database design, API contracts, performance optimization, and technical implementation.
- Own complex deliverables throughout the complete development lifecycle from concept through production.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, monitoring, observability, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Support SLA management, incident response, incident remediation, and continuous operational improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and collaborate across teams to build tools and processes that support customer success.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in TypeScript and NestJS.
- Strong backend development skills with PostgreSQL and TypeORM.
- Solid experience with Jest and Vitest.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex, scalable systems and senior-level architectural judgment.
- Strong focus on maintainability, testability, performance, and scalability.
- Payments or financial services domain knowledge.
- Experience with incident response, SLA management, and observability tools.
- Preferred: AWS cloud infrastructure, OAuth and authentication flows, API performance optimization, API design, microservices, CI/CD and DevOps practices, native iOS or Android development, and AI-assisted development workflows.
