Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape technical account strategies, increase qualified pipeline, and support expansion opportunities.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, workshops, proofs of concept, proofs of value, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Own technical evaluations as the primary point of contact and document outcomes and next-step decisions.
- Design solution architectures that align GitLab capabilities with customer environments, priorities, and operating models.
- Advise customers on modern software development, DevSecOps, continuous integration and deployment, security, cloud adoption, and agentic AI workflows.
- Build relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders to support GitLab-based transformation efforts.
- Create reusable technical examples, best practices, and customer-facing collateral.
- Share customer feedback, field insights, and market observations with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
Requirements
- Experience working with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
- Ability to conduct technical evaluations, including proofs of concept, proofs of value, workshops, tenders, audits, or value stream assessments.
- Working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar DevSecOps or software delivery platforms.
- Clear communication skills for adapting technical messages to practitioners, technical stakeholders, and senior business stakeholders.
- Strength in building credibility, listening to customers, and representing customer needs internally.
- Interest in continuous learning and developing expertise in GitLab, AI, and related cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, self-managed environments, or transferable experience from related technical fields is welcomed.
