Responsibilities
- Build production backend services, data models, CRUD applications, and other software foundations using code and Supernal’s proprietary platform.
- Build and maintain integrations with APIs, webhooks, third-party tools, and data sources.
- Design, implement, and deploy conversational agents with multi-turn flows, state management, and tool usage.
- Own technical delivery for customer implementations from architecture through production launch.
- Translate customer requirements and SOWs into technical designs, execution plans, and deliverables.
- Make architectural decisions across application design, API integrations, LLM orchestration, RAG design, and workflow decomposition.
- Address voice-system latency, interruptions, fallbacks, error handling, and failure recovery.
- Write automated unit and end-to-end tests and debug complex production issues.
- Partner with delivery and product leadership on timelines, scope, and technical tradeoffs.
- Review technical work and define, document, and evolve reliable AI Employee engineering practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, automation engineer, or systems builder shipping production systems.
- Experience with multi-turn conversation design, state management, context windows, interruption handling, and graceful recovery.
- Hands-on experience deploying voice agents using platforms such as ElevenLabs, Retell, or Nextiva, including telephony and streaming audio integrations.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in error handling, retry strategies, separation of concerns, and clean interfaces.
- Experience owning end-to-end delivery outcomes, including timelines, reliability, and client success.
- Deep experience with agentic architectures, APIs, and production integrations.
- Understanding of LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, function calling, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Ability to deliver production-quality systems with testing, error handling, monitoring, and runbooks.
- Strong debugging, written, and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to provide a reliable computer and high-speed internet and work in Americas time zones.
