Responsibilities
- Write clean, reusable, high-quality code and improve existing code.
- Build large-scale distributed systems using microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to develop features, design concepts, interactive prototypes, and user experiences.
- Apply software engineering best practices, including TDD, pair programming, design patterns, continuous delivery, and DevSecOps practices.
- Participate in the full software consulting and delivery lifecycle from ideation through deployment.
- Advocate for technical excellence, code quality, security, and nonfunctional requirements.
- Mentor less-experienced peers through technical knowledge and leadership.
- Contribute to collaborative, value-driven teams and help drive an aspirational technology vision.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience.
- Full-stack development experience using Node.js or comparable technologies, with object-oriented programming experience.
- Ability to write clean, high-quality code in multiple languages and improve poor-quality code.
- Experience or familiarity with TDD, continuous integration, and continuous delivery approaches and tools.
- Awareness of Agile methodologies such as Extreme Programming, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker is preferred.
- Strong technical communication, influence, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- External technology community participation through speaking, open-source contributions, blogging, or similar activities is valued.
