Responsibilities

Design, implement, and integrate tools and technologies for the Compliance, Surveillance, and Supervision domain.
Integrate upstream bank systems with core surveillance platforms and vendor applications.
Build scalable, maintainable data pipelines and analytics engines for batch and near-real-time processing.
Design and build surveillance data models using capital markets and compliance domain knowledge.
Develop, unit test, deliver, and productionize distributed systems using Java and Python.
Work with large datasets, cloud data lakes, relational databases, and big data platforms.
Support regulatory, compliance, audit, technology risk management, and information security obligations.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and share knowledge across the team.

At least 3 years of related experience.
Strong Core Java experience and some Python exposure.
Proven ability to build, unit test, deliver, and productionize scalable distributed systems.
Solid understanding of data storage, ETL, and modern data engineering patterns.
Experience with Apache Spark, cloud data lakes, relational databases, Databricks, and Hadoop.
Experience processing large datasets in batch-oriented and near-real-time environments.
Experience integrating enterprise systems with vendor applications.
Understanding of messaging systems and integration patterns, including Solace and Kafka.
Familiarity with capital markets asset classes and products, AML, trade surveillance, payments surveillance, and surveillance data models.
Preferred experience with NICE Actimize, workflow engines, and DevOps tools.

Toronto, Ontario work location with 37.5-hour work weeks.
