Responsibilities

  • Architect and deliver technical solution demonstrations and presentations that communicate Planet’s capabilities and customer value.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer technical and management stakeholders.
  • Recommend solution architectures aligned with customer business challenges.
  • Craft technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals.
  • Partner with sales colleagues to define technical strategy for customer and prospect accounts.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development on customer engagements and proposal submissions.
  • Meet assigned quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives.
  • Communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, CRM data, and customer feedback to Sales leadership.
  • Present to executive government stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Mentor team members and lead training activities.
  • Run customer workshops and training sessions and lead technical customer engagements.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience supporting the Australia and/or New Zealand Defence and Intelligence community in a technical capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with GIS and remote sensing users in the defence industry.
  • Experience with IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
  • Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, geospatial software, programming languages, and emerging AI/ML technologies.
  • Experience designing and presenting complex systems and solutions that address business needs, budget, and scalability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50%.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
