Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver technical solution demonstrations and presentations that communicate Planet’s capabilities and customer value.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer technical and management stakeholders.
- Recommend solution architectures aligned with customer business challenges.
- Craft technical responses to tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and unsolicited proposals.
- Partner with sales colleagues to define technical strategy for customer and prospect accounts.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development on customer engagements and proposal submissions.
- Meet assigned quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives.
- Communicate forecasts, pipeline opportunities, deal reviews, CRM data, and customer feedback to Sales leadership.
- Present to executive government stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand.
- Mentor team members and lead training activities.
- Run customer workshops and training sessions and lead technical customer engagements.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience supporting the Australia and/or New Zealand Defence and Intelligence community in a technical capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working with GIS and remote sensing users in the defence industry.
- Experience with IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
- Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, geospatial software, programming languages, and emerging AI/ML technologies.
- Experience designing and presenting complex systems and solutions that address business needs, budget, and scalability.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
