
Senior Security Software Engineer - .NET, Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Maintain and expand existing security software products and develop new products from scratch.
- Build, maintain, and operationalize distributed systems, portals, data warehouses, self-service tools, scanning solutions, and platform integrations at enterprise scale.
- Design and implement modern C#/.NET applications using Blazor or ASP.NET Core, relational databases, and APIs.
- Apply cybersecurity practices including identity and access management, least privilege, and secret management.
- Address performance and scale through asynchronous code, batch processing, locking, and concurrency.
- Collaborate with security software engineers and architects to shape platform direction and solve cybersecurity and IT problems.
- Use AI-assisted development techniques, including spec-driven development and LLMs, to enhance engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Experience developing with modern C# and .NET.
- Experience with Blazor applications or at least ASP.NET Core.
- Experience working with relational databases, ideally Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including IAM, least privilege, and secret management.
- Understanding of performance and scale concepts, including asynchronous code, batch processing, locking, and concurrency.
- Experience designing, building, maintaining, and operating complex distributed systems.
- Proficiency with SDLC tooling such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Strong experience working with APIs.
- Preferred experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including migrating or re-architecting workloads from on-premises to cloud-native environments.
- Preferred experience working with the ServiceNow API.
- Previous experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated fluency using LLMs to improve engineering workflows.
