Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and implement designs through production-quality code.
- Develop and maintain algorithms, applications, and systems while ensuring design constraints and operational requirements are met.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, identify hidden problems and patterns, and use findings to improve code quality and system architecture.
- Support application stability through monitoring, alerting, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and production support.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and promote inclusive, respectful team practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of applied hands-on development experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, automated testing, and production support.
- Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented compiled language such as Java, C#, C++, Go, or Rust.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment, including use of programming and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile engineering practices.
- Experience with operational stability concepts including monitoring, alerting, incident triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluate, validate, and refine their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, Java Spring Boot services, and cloud technologies.
