Staff Backend Engineer (Go, Java) - Detection & Response
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate high-volume, low-latency applications primarily in Go and partially in Java.
- Build distributed systems capable of handling several million events per second.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, and operable solutions within the overall data architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Monitor key metrics, maintain application stability and data integrity, and improve the codebase.
- Refactor existing code and implement requested fixes and features.
- Evaluate and learn technologies that address high-volume data challenges.
Requirements
- Multiple years of software engineering experience in at least one high-level programming language, including Golang and/or Java.
- Strong background in distributed data processing, microservices, and building high-quality scalable data products.
- Passion for building high-scale distributed systems and delivering customer value.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka is a significant advantage.
- Ability to understand new products and their internal workings quickly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with local and remote teams across time zones.
- Strong communication skills for working with product and engineering teams.
- Previous experience developing security-related products is a plus.
