Senior Staff Software Engineer (Java) - Platform org
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Analyze the existing monolithic architecture, identify pain points, and design iterative modernization solutions.
- Lead the design and development of a scalable, maintainable, and operationally excellent microservices architecture.
- Evaluate and implement tools and frameworks for a robust microservices ecosystem.
- Develop proofs of concept and prototypes, conduct code reviews, and contribute production-ready Java code.
- Mentor engineers, share architectural best practices, and promote engineering excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, quality, DevOps/Infrastructure, and leadership teams on objectives, designs, timelines, and execution.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture focused on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Proven experience transitioning monolithic systems to cloud-native microservices; multi-cloud, multi-region, and multi-tenant experience is highly desired.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Go, with Python experience considered a plus.
- Extensive experience building scalable solutions with Kubernetes and AWS and/or GCP or similar cloud platforms.
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to influence engineering direction across teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and interest in high-impact, high-stakes assignments.
- Experience using agentic engineering tools and LLMs across multiple areas of the software development lifecycle is highly desired.
