Base Salary
$198k - $268k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate APIs and scalable platform services.
- Build Kubernetes operators and automation for self-service engineering workflows.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Deploy and operate reliable, secure, and scalable workloads.
- Integrate engineering platforms and tools including GitLab, Backstage, and Artifactory.
- Apply automated testing, code review, observability, and secure development practices.
- Lead major engineering initiatives and communicate engineering decisions across teams.
- Provide production support and participate in a paid on-call rotation for high-impact incidents.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of cloud services and experience running production workloads in AWS or another major cloud platform.
- Strong software engineering experience using Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and operating APIs and backend services.
- Practical knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and CI/CD technologies.
- Ability to lead technical projects and communicate engineering decisions clearly.
- Experience developing Kubernetes operators or controllers is preferred.
- Knowledge of GitLab internals, administration, APIs, and integrations is preferred.
- Familiarity with software supply-chain security and SAST tooling is preferred.
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering, incident management, and production support is preferred.
