Responsibilities
- Own complex, high-leverage engineering work across core systems, shared frameworks, and critical infrastructure.
- Define and evolve architecture across multiple products to avoid long-term technical debt.
- Write and ship production code for the majority of the role while setting a technical example.
- Refactor abstractions and improve reliability, scalability, and engineering standards.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and direct feedback.
- Contribute to AI capabilities, including LLM pipelines and data infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience solving difficult production engineering problems.
- Deep full-stack expertise with strong backend, API, and infrastructure skills, including Python, React, and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ownership of architecture across multiple products or teams, with improvements to performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Cloud and DevOps fluency with Docker, Azure, AWS or GCP, and Terraform.
- Hands-on technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Experience building or integrating AI systems, LLMs, or large-scale data pipelines is preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-intensity, in-person startup environment.
