Responsibilities
- Own and build backend services and optimization algorithms for real-time energy asset optimization and forecasting.
- Develop frontend dashboards enabling battery operators to monitor and control assets.
- Architect and scale cloud infrastructure supporting thousands of battery systems.
- Deploy production-ready optimizations and iterate based on real-world feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to define and prioritize product features.
Requirements
- Up to five years of work experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering, with a strong academic record and graduation no earlier than 2023.
- Full-stack proficiency with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend; Next.js is preferred.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Fluent or near-fluent German is required.
- Startup experience at an early-stage company is required or expected.
- Genuine interest in energy, particularly battery storage or renewable energy.
- Demonstrated high achievement beyond standard coursework or employment, such as founding experience or selective extracurricular participation.
- A semester or extended study abroad at a recognized international university.
- Experience with mixed-integer optimization or deploying optimizations in production systems is a strong plus.
Benefits
- Salary range of 70,000 to 100,000 EUR annually.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
- On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, five days per week; no remote arrangement is available.
