Responsibilities
- Guide clients through technology-enabled transformation and translate business strategy into digital solutions.
- Design and lead AI-enabled architectures using RAG, multi-agent orchestration, vector search, prompt chaining, fine-tuning, grounding, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and system prompts.
- Build rapid prototypes, MVPs, and technical feasibility demonstrations using cloud-native AI services and open-source models.
- Design and deliver cost-effective end-to-end solutions that support business KPIs, user satisfaction, transaction completion, and user-centric design.
- Lead managed architecture services and work with UX, service designers, and developers through rapid iterative delivery.
- Lead proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and client events, with responsibility for £1m of annual new bookings.
- Develop the architecture practice through campaigns, think tanks, whitepapers, offering development, recruitment, and internal activities.
- Provide formal line management, mentoring, coaching, and learning development for digital architects.
Requirements
- Experience delivering digital solutions on one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience building and testing applications, trying cloud-native services, and working with UX/UI or front-end developers on prototypes.
- Understanding of PaaS, SaaS, serverless computing, microservice-based solutions, cloud services, and solution components.
- Experience with AI tools for architecture or architecture for AI, including cloud-native AI services such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Gemini.
- Ability to communicate complex AI concepts, risks, limitations, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to design end-to-end solutions that connect technology decisions with business value, user needs, KPIs, cost effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
- Ability to define, mobilise, and lead managed architecture services.
- Understanding of current and future technology trends, with experience delivering digital applications or services in DevOps and waterfall environments.
- Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop architects through formal and informal learning and development.
- Ability to collaborate with clients, UX and service designers, developers, technology consultants, and business experts.
