Base Salary

$160k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for fintech and payments opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Lead prospect discovery and translate business, risk, regulatory, onboarding, and transaction requirements into tailored Socure solution architectures.
  • Design end-to-end identity and fraud workflows covering API integrations, decisioning logic, rules, and data orchestration.
  • Scope and execute proof-of-concepts and backtests, define evaluation methods and success metrics, interpret results, and present recommendations.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing to turn field insights into roadmap input, solution patterns, and external thought leadership.
  • Build and deliver demos, contribute to RFPs and RFIs, and help develop statements of work and pricing scenarios.
  • Advise senior customer stakeholders on model performance, threshold strategies, swap sets, and regulatory implications.
  • Coordinate pre-sales handoffs with post-sales Solution Consultants, Customer Success, and Technical Project Managers.
  • Create internal playbooks, discovery templates, proof-of-concept frameworks, and executive presentations while mentoring other Solution Consultants.
  • Track fintech, payments, fraud, identity, and regulatory trends to guide customers and influence internal strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, math, economics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in solution consulting, sales engineering, professional services, or technical pre-sales within enterprise SaaS or data products.
  • Meaningful experience in fintech, payments, neobanking, lending, or sponsor banking, ideally involving digital onboarding, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, or fraud and risk management.
  • Experience leading complex pre-sales engagements across discovery, solution design, demos, proof-of-concepts or backtests, success metrics, and technical close support.
  • Strong technical depth across SaaS and data architectures, RESTful APIs, event-driven or batch integrations, rules and decision engines, analytics, and ML/data-science-adjacent technologies.
  • Ability to explain statistical and technical concepts such as model performance, lift curves, ROC/AUC, threshold optimization, and swap sets to business and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, including comfort with C-level and board-level audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate across Sales, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success and influence without authority.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, transparent communication, ownership, mentoring, sound judgment, and adaptability.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth company and willingness to travel up to approximately 30% as needed.
