Responsibilities
- Own resolution of the most complex developer cases, including multi-product architectures, ISV integration designs, and strategic account escalations.
- Act as the technical bridge between Developer Support and ISV Partnerships and work directly with strategic partners on integration design.
- Join customer and partner calls to provide architectural consulting and resolve issues beyond standard support scope.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to surface systemic integration issues and influence the Okta WIC product roadmap.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for key accounts and manage critical customer situations.
- Build cross-functional relationships across Product, Engineering, ISV Partnerships, and Operations to advance initiatives.
- Mentor Senior Developer Support Engineers on complex cases, time management, and customer handling.
- Create and maintain runbooks, internal best practices, training materials, and other knowledge infrastructure.
- Lead technical reviews and team learning sessions to address skills gaps and roll out product knowledge.
- Champion new tools and processes and help the global team adopt operational changes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technical support, developer relations, solutions engineering, or software development with significant customer- or partner-facing experience.
- BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Broad experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of MCP servers and experience with Claude and CodeEx.
- Expert-level protocol debugging experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Hands-on enterprise-scale SCIM experience, including schema design, provisioning flows, attribute mapping, and troubleshooting failure patterns.
- Fluency in at least one statically typed language such as Java, .NET, or Go, and one dynamically typed language such as Python or JavaScript/Node.js.
- Ability to write reproductions, read code, and analyze HTTP traces or OpenAPI specifications.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to engage engineering peers as a technical equal.
- Clear, adaptable communication skills for working with engineers, executives, customers, and partners.
- Must be based in Canada, with Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal preferred.
- Experience building or supporting integrations with ISVs or technology partners at scale is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Okta ecosystem, including Workforce Identity Cloud, OIN, or IPSIE/NHI, is preferred.
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Kong, or MuleSoft is preferred.
- Prior Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Developer Relations experience is preferred.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare is preferred.
- Familiarity with FIDO2, passkeys, and device trust flows is preferred.
