Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end software, system, application, and technical architectures for large or complex programs.
- Translate business requirements into solution architectures aligned with compliance, governance, corporate security, and technology strategies.
- Develop architecture blueprints, capability models, target-state plans, and enterprise patterns.
- Lead architecture design reviews and oversee project outcomes across hardware, software, applications, and integrations.
- Reduce redundancy, technical debt, complexity, and portfolio costs through shared services and rationalized solutions.
- Lead or support programs involving integration across different technologies, platforms, applications, and third parties.
- Provide architecture expertise, mentorship, leadership, and best-practice guidance to IT staff and team members.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and help improve the maturity of the architecture practice.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent analytic-intensive field.
- Strong experience in information technology development, design, and architecture roles.
- Strong experience developing architectures for large data projects and delivering extensive programs from initiation through implementation.
- Experience with big data, NoSQL data stores, distributed computing, data lakes, lakehouses, service integrations, and service development architectures.
- Experience leading programs and projects integrating different technologies and platforms.
- Knowledge of business architecture, data architecture, and cybersecurity architecture.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with machine learning lifecycles and artificial intelligence is preferred.
- Experience building and deploying solutions to public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Data science and data analytics experience, including machine learning, recommendation engines, search personalization, and deep learning, is preferred.
- Knowledge of .NET, Java, Spring, Python, Docker containers, Kubernetes, DevOps, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Awareness and experience with public and private cloud platforms, digital platforms, and legacy-platform modernization are preferred.
