Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable and reliable distributed systems for identity and verification services.
- Develop KYC data collection and automated verification capabilities across the customer onboarding lifecycle.
- Contribute to platform frameworks for legal-entity onboarding and identity and verification integrations.
- Participate in architectural design, implementation, testing, deployment, and end-to-end feature ownership.
- Implement monitoring, observability tools, SLOs, alerting, and resilience improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Customer Onboarding, Merchant Operations, and Regulatory teams.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Java and experience building web services and REST APIs.
- Experience building and maintaining highly scalable and reliable distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Understanding of monitoring best practices, SLOs, resilience patterns, and operational excellence.
- Ability to take ownership, drive technical discussions, and collaborate effectively.
- Interest in advanced software development, design patterns, scalability, and resilience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive practical experience.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and streaming is a plus.
- Experience with Cassandra, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Temporal.io, and big data platforms is a plus.
