Responsibilities
- Prototype ambiguous interaction and device-capability concepts directly in iOS code to make ideas tangible and assess their viability.
- Apply deep knowledge of iOS platform capabilities and native interaction patterns while identifying opportunities for bespoke solutions.
- Train designers and document agentic prototyping workflows that enable direct prototyping in mobile codebases.
- Create reusable interaction patterns and prototyping tools that improve craft across iOS teams.
- Partner with designers and engineers to provide native technical and creative guidance on cross-team problems.
- Use data and shipped-feature learnings to guide craft investments and improve prototyping tools and documentation.
- Evangelize modern prototyping practices and drive adoption across the design organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience at the intersection of product design and iOS engineering.
- Deep hands-on fluency in Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
- Track record of building working code-based prototypes for ambiguous concepts and connecting execution to customer or product impact.
- Deep, current knowledge of iOS platform standards, Apple HIG, and native frameworks, with judgment about when to use bespoke solutions.
- Experience creating tools, documentation, or training that helps designers and engineers improve their craft.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and evangelism skills, including comfort with ambiguous cross-team work.
- Familiarity with or enthusiasm for agentic and AI-assisted coding tools and teaching design teams to use them in production codebases.
