Responsibilities
- Build and modernize Java microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
- Contribute to microservice redesign and Java 17/21 migration initiatives.
- Develop React or Angular frontends integrated with backend APIs.
- Implement Apache Kafka event-driven systems, including producers, consumers, and dead-letter queues.
- Design REST APIs and provide OpenAPI documentation.
- Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them on AKS or Azure App Service.
- Drive vulnerability remediation and secure coding aligned with OWASP Top 10.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Write JUnit, Mockito, integration, Jest, and Cypress tests.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, dependency upgrades, CVE analysis, and migration work.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of software engineering experience with a strong Java focus, including at least 4 years of Java experience.
- Strong Java 11+ skills and knowledge of Java 17/21.
- At least 3 years of experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, microservices, REST APIs, and SQL databases.
- At least 2 years of experience with Apache Kafka, React or Angular, Docker, Azure deployment, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Production experience with microservices and event-driven systems.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with gRPC, Neo4j or graph databases, AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, service mesh, DevSecOps, Redis, Elasticsearch, and API gateways.
- Ability to use and critically review AI-generated code, with strong prompt-engineering skills for code, refactoring, and tests.
