Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, standards, oversight, and direction to APAC Application Engineers.
- Establish technical priorities, allocate engineering resources, and balance customer commitments, implementation risk, capacity, and long-term maintainability.
- Review and approve solution designs, identify dependencies and risks, and govern technical exceptions across customer engagements.
- Oversee proof-of-concept, pilot, production implementation, expansion, and complex support work for Litmus products.
- Act as the escalation point for critical incidents, architecture concerns, unresolved Level 2 cases, and complex technical issues.
- Perform or guide advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance analysis, and remediation across products, infrastructure, networks, integrations, data flows, and industrial systems.
- Onboard, mentor, and coach Application Engineers while improving delivery standards, reusable assets, and implementation methodologies.
- Support Sales Engineers and Account Executives with architecture reviews, technical strategy, proposals, scope validation, and pre-sales-to-delivery handoffs.
- Provide technical feedback to Product Management and Development and contribute to roadmaps, design reviews, beta programs, and release readiness.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in application engineering, solution architecture, systems integration, technical consulting, customer success engineering, industrial technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Significant experience leading complex software, infrastructure, automation, IIoT, analytics, edge-computing, or shop-floor implementations in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience providing architecture oversight, design approval, implementation governance, and technical leadership across multiple customer engagements.
- Experience directing or overseeing engineers, including setting priorities, reviewing deliverables, mentoring, and making technical decisions.
- Strong understanding of industrial and enterprise architecture, networks, security, protocols, Linux-based systems, databases, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed deployments.
- Deep hands-on experience with product configuration, systems integration, technical troubleshooting, performance analysis, root-cause analysis, and production support.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, including leading architecture workshops, explaining complex concepts, managing technical objections, and communicating risk.
- Experience with industrial protocols and systems such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, PLCs, SCADA, historians, MES, and industrial control environments is preferred.
- Experience with Litmus Edge, Litmus Edge Manager, industrial data platforms, edge orchestration platforms, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Experience designing highly available, secure, and scalable industrial edge architectures, supporting regulated or mission-critical environments, and working with systems integrators or technology partners is preferred.
- Pre-sales architecture, proposal approval, statement-of-work review, RFI/RFP, commercial scope validation, product roadmap, technical standards, or reusable engineering asset experience is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in cloud architecture, Kubernetes, networking, cybersecurity, industrial automation, or solution architecture are preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, automation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to support customers and engineers across APAC time zones and travel regionally when required.
