Responsibilities
- Lead solution discovery, fit-to-standard workshops, and architecture design for the Japan rollout.
- Enhance and govern the SAP S/4HANA global template while applying Japan localization and core design principles.
- Act as design authority, approve solution deviations, and ensure architecture governance compliance.
- Define and manage integration architecture across SAP, MES, PMC, legacy systems, and third-party tools.
- Drive build execution through implementation teams and guide blueprint, build, test, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Configure and optimize SAP S/4HANA P2P, including MM, Procurement, and Accounts Payable scenarios.
- Define interface patterns, error handling, monitoring, and performance tuning across SAP and third-party systems.
- Author configuration documents, process flows, test scripts, functional specifications, and knowledge articles.
- Coordinate with ABAP teams, test new features, troubleshoot SAP and third-party integration issues, and ensure compliance with Japanese business, statutory, audit, and control requirements.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience with SAP implementation and a strong background in SAP S/4HANA transformation.
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA solution architecture, P2P, SAP MM, procurement processes, and EWM integration.
- Experience with large-scale manufacturing or automotive programs; discrete manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, quality, logistics, and cost management experience is valued.
- Strong global-template governance, architecture decision-making, and fit-to-standard capabilities.
- Proven experience on multi-vendor global deployment programs and the ability to explain complex architecture decisions to senior business and IT leadership.
- Native Japanese language ability; comfortable working in English is preferred.
- Experience deploying multiple countries on a single S/4HANA global template and working with Japanese OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is preferred.
- SAP S/4HANA certification is preferred.
