Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support full-stack applications using Node.js, Express, React, and TypeScript.
- Create and support a near-real-time reporting and visualization platform from the API layer outward.
- Unify business tools and processes into a consistent platform and improve user experiences.
- Contribute to platform frameworks, environments, build systems, tooling, architecture, and embedded reporting APIs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on data pipeline performance tuning, maintenance, and incident response.
- Participate in on-call rotations as an Incident Commander to categorize, track, and resolve real-time data incidents.
- Plan features, propose solutions, participate in platform discussions, review code, and document platform functionality and processes.
- Deliver optimized, maintainable, well-tested code with design and test teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a software development occupation, including automated testing of frontend and backend services.
- 5+ years of full-stack application development experience.
- 5+ years of experience delivering software with high test coverage using unit and frontend test frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience building cross-functional, broadly scoped platforms.
- Proficiency with React and JavaScript or TypeScript application development.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code systems such as Terraform, Kubernetes, or CloudFormation.
- Experience developing in a CI/CD/CT environment and tuning performance for large-data-set frontend visualizations.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
