Responsibilities
- Migrate and modernize Sitecore-backed applications and content for Contentful.
- Develop, refactor, and enhance frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Replace Sitecore dependencies and integrations with Contentful-compatible solutions.
- Build content migration tooling, scripts, automated transformations, content models, API integrations, and content delivery patterns.
- Use AI-assisted and spec-driven development for analysis, schema mapping, migration, refactoring, validation, and test generation while reviewing generated outputs.
- Maintain application functionality, performance, accessibility, automated testing, and code quality.
- Own complex development tasks, identify technical risks, and influence implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with lead developers, architects, QA, and content teams while mentoring less experienced developers.
Requirements
- Strong commercial software engineering experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience migrating, modernizing, or refactoring existing frontend applications.
- Practical experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful, and understanding of Sitecore.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and content modeling.
- Experience with backend development, migration scripting, or data transformation.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and understanding of spec-driven development approaches.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and influence technical implementation decisions.
- Desirable experience includes direct Sitecore-to-Contentful migration, Next.js, Sitecore JSS, CMS/DXP replatforming, AI-assisted migration or test generation, and multilingual, multisite, or composable digital platforms.
