Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of software and applications.
- Install, configure, and test operating systems, application systems, and system management tools.
- Develop Python automation and emergency recovery procedures to reduce manual toil and improve reliability.
- Design Jenkins and Groovy-based release automation frameworks using configuration and infrastructure-as-code approaches.
- Monitor production systems, manage configuration and performance changes, and resolve incidents.
- Automate monitoring, alerting, availability, scalability, and BCDR-ready recovery processes.
- Deploy and manage virtual environments in cloud and on-premises data centers.
- Report reliability metrics, incident trends, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage work in Jira and create knowledge articles in Confluence.
- Participate in optional paid out-of-hours on-call escalation duties.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, software development, or related roles.
- Experience with cloud service providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with Windows and Mac OS.
- Experience with scripting languages including Python.
- Knowledge of Confluence and Jira or other SDLC collaboration tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot root causes, develop and track performance or other change metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to influence operational reliability architecture, work independently and collaboratively, prioritize multiple deadlines, and drive change.
- Working knowledge of AI and agentic tools is a plus.
