Responsibilities
- Develop web applications using Java and JavaScript, including coding, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Perform BAU application improvements, including requirements definition, design, acceptance activities, incident and inquiry response, partner-contract coordination, and resource management.
- Manage small projects in line with the company portfolio as a project lead.
- Interview business departments about issues and improvement opportunities and develop improvement plans.
- Coordinate with internal business, development, and operations teams and external system development and operations partners.
Requirements
- At least five years of web application development experience using Java and/or JavaScript.
- At least five years of application development experience using a database.
- Insurance business knowledge or application development and upstream-process experience in areas such as new contracts, policy maintenance, premium billing and collection, claims payments, accounting, or actuarial operations is preferred.
- Source code management experience, basic Agile development knowledge, and infrastructure knowledge covering operating systems, networks, job operations management, system-to-system data integration, and web application middleware are preferred.
