Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Growth & ML), Hyderabad

- Lead end-to-end development of production ML systems, including data sourcing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Own ML products for probabilistic identity resolution, lookalike and propensity modeling, content affinity, audience intelligence, and forecasting.
- Design scalable Databricks feature pipelines with feature contracts, backfill paths, freshness SLAs, and feature-store integrations.
- Architect batch and near-real-time inference pipelines integrated with Snowflake and activation systems including Mosaic, FreeWheel, and GAM.
- Develop and optimize gradient boosting, embedding and two-tower retrieval, neural ranking, probability calibration, probabilistic matching, and graph-based models.
- Design offline and online experiments and evaluation frameworks using metrics appropriate to each use case.
- Apply causal inference, propensity scoring, uplift modeling, and incrementality analysis to measure audience-targeting impact.
- Build MLOps capabilities including model versioning, champion/challenger promotion, automated retraining, drift detection, monitoring, and alerting.
- Maintain reproducible and auditable ML pipelines on Databricks and AWS SageMaker while enforcing leakage prevention and training-serving consistency.
- Mentor MLE 2s through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, and technical standards.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Ad Sales, and Data Engineering to translate business needs into ML solutions and pipeline requirements.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of industry experience in ML engineering or applied data science, or 3+ years with a Ph.D.
- Deep Python expertise and production-quality software engineering experience building and deploying ML systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, Workflows or DLT, MLflow, and Unity Catalog.
- Solid SQL and Snowflake experience for feature sourcing and model-output delivery.
- Experience with AWS ML services including SageMaker, S3, and Lambda.
- Strong understanding of model evaluation, A/B testing, statistical inference, and at least one area such as recommendations, ranking, identity resolution, retrieval, causal ML, forecasting, bandits, or optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions and mentor engineers.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes recommendation systems, personalization, identity resolution, audience modeling, media or ad-tech, Data Clean Rooms, two-tower architectures, probability calibration, feature stores, open-source contributions, or ML publications.
- Preferred familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, MCP, Databricks Genie Space, Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Feature Store, Tecton, and Feast.
