Base Salary
$142k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build high-performance, stable, and scalable backend systems for enterprise deployment.
- Lead architecture discussions and planning sessions, review technical proposals and root cause analyses, and establish team standards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and support systems during production incidents.
- Mentor and advise other engineers.
- Contribute to the DSS technical community through presentations, tech talks, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of related experience designing backend architectures and delivering backend applications in production.
- Validated knowledge of operating large-scale, highly available backend services using Go, Python, C++, or C.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming models, threading, and concurrency.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, databases, design patterns, and design principles.
- Experience with a public cloud provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
- Experience with Jenkins, Docker, messaging technologies, caching technologies, and observability tools.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Independent learning ability and strong problem-solving skills.
