Base Salary

$85k - $184k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate highly available distributed systems and platform services at global scale.
  • Develop mission-critical services supporting Microsoft Entra, including traffic management, Kubernetes runtime platforms, and livesite management.
  • Build and maintain scalable services processing millions of requests per second and hundreds of billions of authentications per day.
  • Improve the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of platform services.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software supporting availability targets greater than 99.99%.
  • Own software features and services through design, implementation, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners on complex technical problems and safe software delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with proven coding experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree plus 1+ year of technical engineering experience, a related master's degree with proven coding experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Coding experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Rust, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions for complex architectural challenges in cloud services environments.
  • Practical experience operating high-scale services in production.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to large audiences and customers.
  • Experience with performance analysis and optimization of web services and software.
  • Experience building services on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience in identity or security domains.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
